With our help, a North Vancouver Craftsman gets a modern addition.
Not only did we add square footage to the existing home, we improved the floor plan of the home to marry the new with the old, creating a more usable space for the homeowners and their family.
Here’s a look at the home before construction:
Here’s a look at the home now:
The addition adds space to the rear of the house, creating a larger kitchen and a new den for the homeowner. It also adds a new walk-in closet and master bathroom to the master Bedroom. We’ve also added a new powder room by closing the old stair to the basement and adding a new, wider feature stair to the basement off the kitchen and open to the den.
The new skylight really helps bring a lot of natural light into a North facing space. As do the large windows that connect the Kitchen with the back yard.
The homeowner is a Landscape designer and will be tackling the back yard once construction wraps up. The patio will receive porcelain tile that matches the tile used in the kitchen, lending the appearance of the inside space seamlessly merging with the outdoor space. There is promise of a summer gathering once the work is complete and I look forward to seeing how all of the pieces come together.
